Stories both great and small have contributed to the rarity and originality of this lovely little Touraine "scented garden".

The vineyard Geographical location: Between the Indre and Cher rivers to the south of Tours. |
| |
Surface area: 28 ha (70 acres). History: The presence of the Noble-Joué vineyard was testified to in the court of King Louis 11th. It reached the peak of its renown in the 19th century, and applied for AOC recognition in 1939, but the start of the war caused the application to be forgotten. Partially destroyed and then gradually diminished by the process of urbanisation, the vineyard died away completely, until 1975 when it was brought back to life by a group of winegrowers. Today, it is successfully back in its rightful place on the tables of Tours. |
