For the first time, Loire wines are coming to Paris with the Banquet of Loire Red Wines, a brand-new event featuring 100 winemakers, and a menu created by Loire-based chef Paul Delhommais (@Prochedelafaim) of the restaurant Miettes. Less formality, more fun: here, we come mainly to share, discover, and savor Loire reds, in the spirit of winemakers’ banquets. A simple, lively, authentic moment that smells of the Loire… and wonderful encounters.

[A story of winemakers]

The Origin of Banquai

Loire reds tell a story—the story of a unique terroir, a way of life, and passionate winemakers. Eight red wine appellations have joined forces to remind consumers just how rich in diversity Loire reds are; they are both a safe bet and incredibly modern! 

That’s why Chinon, Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, Bourgueil, Saumur, Saumur-Champigny, Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame, Anjou, and Touraine decided to recreate an extra-large winemakers’ banquet on the Quai de la Tournelle in Paris. The idea is to sample a little taste of the Loire Valley vineyards—but along the Seine.

The Loire Red Wine Selection

Two lunches on the Quai de la Tournelle along the Seine, winemakers on hand to talk to you about their wines, a menu crafted by a talented chef, and large communal tables—whether you come as a couple, on your own, or with your team. 

On the agenda:

On the menu:
appetizer, main course, cheese, and dessert (vegetarian option available)
→ Food and wine pairings featuring red wines from the Loire Valley, of course.

In your glass:
4 glasses of Loire red wines included (additional glasses available for purchase on-site).
The winemakers themselves will serve you and tell you about their wines.

The setting:
A Parisian quay, a warm atmosphere, the Seine at your feet… and a breathtaking view of Notre-Dame.
The Loire comes to the quays of Paris.

The team at Miettes restaurant in Tours, and especially Chef Paul Delhommais, are behind the Banquai menu. The chef creates sincere, authentic, and thoughtful cuisine that pairs perfectly with the red wines of the Loire Valley. For this occasion, Paul, Philippine, and Maxime are putting a new spin on classics, drawing inspiration from world cuisine and ingredients from the Loire Valley. 

Appetizer, main course, cheese, dessert, with a vegetarian option (a full meal, not just sides)—all paired with wines, of course!
