On the Routes des Vins, this 16km wine tourism bike tour is the best way to discover the Jasnières vineyard. The loop allows you to taste this AOC-classified white wine, but also to meet craftsmen. Saddle up!
Before you set off, we recommend youtest out the electric bike: it's a great way to keep your strength up, especially for a ride where there are plenty of gradients. No need to pedal uphill (or almost!), the bike does it all for you! To find out more, ask at the tourist office.
At the start or the finish, La Chartre-sur-le-Loir is home to many craftsmen: ceramists, antique dealers, glassmakers... This is the time to observe meticulous work up close and discuss with enthusiasts. Don't forget to climb the Tour Jeanne d'Arc, for a unique panorama of the Loir Valley.
From La Chartre-sur-le-Loir to Ruillé-sur-Loir, follow by bike the small paths winding through Chenin vineyards, to reach the various estates. To refresh yourself and regain your strength, stop for a glass of Jasnières, a dry, fruity white wine reputed to be one of the best dry whites in France. This is your chance to leave with a souvenir: a good bottle!"
This walk lasts half a day, but if you feel like it, you can continue further on to Poncé-sur-le-Loir, and visit the château and its Italian garden.
