DOMAINE DU HAUT PUISET

Perched on its ancestral hill overlooking the Loire Valley, the Domaine du Haut Puiset in Mesnil-en-Vallée, Maine-et-Loire is spread over 25ha on the north and south banks of the river. A family estate since 1950, its terroir is characterized by greasy schist and pudding soils to the north. to the south at Ingrandes-sur-Loire. Exceptional climate thanks to the mist from the Loire that slips in among the vines, providing a favorable climate for the development of noble rot and thus producing an exceptional sweet white wine. The Denis family's vineyards are cultivated using sustainable methods, with the vines grassed over and the soil worked. A fine range of wines is produced at the estate: AOC Anjou white and red, Anjou Villages, Anjou Coteaux de la Loire, Cabernet d'Anjou, Crémant de Loire white and rosé, Sauvignon, Chardonnay. Sylvie, Gérard, Jean-Louis and Florian offer these wines for tasting, with an unobstructed view over the Loire Valley. A privileged moment just a few kilometers from the Loire villages of Montjean-sur-Loire and Saint-Florent-le-Vieil! Our favorite: their Anjou Coteaux de la Loire, a mellow wine with aromas of figs and quince.
